Eleuke Giveaway
April 1, 2010 at 4:15 am | Posted in Eleuke, Giveaway | 339 CommentsTags: Electric, Eleuke, Giveaway, posts, uke, ukulele
CONTEST ENDED – Winner will be announced soon!!!
I reviewed it, I loved it, Now you can have it!!
I am going to giveaway the Eleuke that I just reviewed to one lucky reader.
Why?
Honestly I don’t feel right keeping the instruments companies let me keep after I review them. Not all of them will be given away on the site. I will also have some at the festivals that I attend, so watch in later posts for where I will be this summer.
How?
It is very simple to enter, just comment on any post between now and April 30, 2010. Make sure to enter your e-mail address, which is how I will contact the winner. I will not send any other things, you are not signing up for spam I promise.
As much as I would love for you to all subscribe to my blog, and well you are here you could, I don’t want to bother people with more e-mail that they will ignore.
Rules:
1. One entry per person, you can comment as many times as you like, but you will only be entered once. Please just be cool and not fudge this with multiple e-mail addresses.
2. If you are related to me you cannot enter. Sorry, I will find you all great ukes if you want one.
3. If you live in the continental U.S. I will send it to you for free, otherwise you will have to pay for shipping.
4. Any inappropriate or spam posts will be deleted and entry nullified.
5. If the ukulele is not claimed in 30 days I will find someone else who wants it.
6. Must be willing to let me post a picture of you and the uke, with first name and location, on Ukeeku.com.
7. Contest ends April 30, 2010

I need a Eleuke.
Comment by Rob Faricelli— April 12, 2010 #
If you choose me I shall play that Eleuke such that grown men with large mustaches will weep like children, I shall play such that unicorns will sprout from the bums of all within earshot, Leprechauns will bribe me with pots O’ gold to never stop, Mothers will try and adopt me, cats and dogs-rats and cats will co-habitate together, every single person from the countries of India and Pakistan shall join arm in arm in peace and sway to the rhythms……. Oh and also…..I would be a happy man…..a happy man indeed!

Chances are I won’t win (statistically speaking) but thanks so much for giving uke players a good name all the same ^_^ Makes me proud to be a uker at times like this.

I want to play with a band and this would be great to use so they could hear me.
Comment by Gary Erickson (lumpy)— April 2, 2010 #
I really like the color. I’ve thought of buying or building an all electric uke. Your review of this one sparks my interest again. Chances are that if I won this uke I would give it to one of my ‘wanna-be a uke player’ friends – after I’ve broken it it very well first. But then again I may keep it and give one of my other ukes to a friend.
Comment by Mike— April 2, 2010 #
I’ve always been interested in the Eleuke but have never played one. Very helpful review!
Comment by Kristy— April 2, 2010 #

Comment by Areesha Singh— April 4, 2010 #
I WANT AN ELEUKE SOOO BADLY!!! I have been playing for four months, and I have really got the feel for it. I have a mitchell, but having a new eleuke to play with my brother and stepbrother would be awesome. THANK YOU for posting this, you are very kind! : )
Comment by Tristan— April 4, 2010 #
If you choose me, I will be extremely grateful. I teach fourth graders, and having a uke at school to use with my class, would be very fun and beneficial. As our school district begins their budget cuts, our music programs are always under scrutiny to be eliminated….year after year. If that is so, I don’t want our students to miss out on any opportunity to learn about music–even if that means I have to teach it myself, versus a music specialist.
Comment by Camille Y.— April 5, 2010 #
Great contest & a great prize!
I love plugging my uke into my Marshall & letting it rip. An electric uke would really complete that package.
Good luck to everybody!

Well, I was thinking about picking one of these up so as not to disturb my room mates when we get to afghanistan. Why not throw my hat in the ring for a free one? This is very generous of you, btw.
Comment by Jacob Hicks— April 6, 2010 #
Hi there. I’m only 3 weeks to the uke but over 40 years in music. I have the bug bad! I was tipped off to your giveaway and have been looking at these unique babies on the web. Being in Canada (Toronto area) there is still no place to go and “touch and feel” more than one or two ukes at a time. Very frustrating! Anyway…put my name in the hat for that giveaway (or for any others down the road too!) Thanks.

i’ve been saving up for a uke. i’d really like to learn once i get done with my physical therapy program.
did i mention i saved a girl-scout troop that was trapped in a burning building? that’s why i’m in physical therapy, i sure hope i get partial use of my legs back like the doctor said
no matter what the outcome of my therapy i’ll be a bit of a shut in though so i’m either going to take up the ukulele or start drinking to pass the time.
i guess it’s up to you.
thank you,
diego
Comment by diego— April 7, 2010 #
god bless you diego! i hope you regain use of your legs and win the ukulele!

Comment by greg— April 9, 2010 #
Jo… I think you should pick me for the Eleuke… We should play more Ukulele here in Germany
Comment by Eric— April 9, 2010 #

This uke will be the baseline of my healthcare overhaul. High blood pressure? Feeling stressed? Burned out? Tore up or Torn down? Grab a uke, two strums, and a smile! An electric blue uke can move the unsmiling disgruntleds of the world a little bit closer to the land of the gruntleds! Only uke can make me happy.
Comment by alexis— April 12, 2010 #
I chose the ukulele for a senior project, and I really enjoy it. Been on my Kala Mahogany Spruce Top Concert ukulele, would love to move up to a tenor. This is a wonderful opportunity for some one to share the wealth. Thanks for being so generous Tim!
Cheers,
Robert.
Comment by Robert— April 12, 2010 #
This is fantastic! I really love Ukuleles and the sound they emit. My favorite thing to do on them is cover older rock songs like Harvey Danger’s “Flagpole Sitta” or Joan Jett haha It always makes me people re-think how the Uke can be used! Thanks for the chance to win such a rad Uke. If I’m chosen I PROMISE I will put it to good use while street performing and playing everywhere I go! Taking over the WORLD note by note! Haha
Love,
Steph
Comment by Stephanie Painter— April 13, 2010 #

Hey there, I stumbled upon this site randomly on the side of my facebook, but I would love to win an electric ukulele. I’ve been playing the ukulele for a few years now and I have a nice acoustic one but I’m interested in seeing what the eleuke would be like. Hopefully you’ll pick me, thanks!
Comment by Zach Schmitt— April 14, 2010 #
I play both ukulele and u bass. This instrument would allow me to play harder music. Nice looking instrument as well. I hope that I do win, although I’ve never actually won anything in my life. Thanks.

Comment by Charles Oatley— April 14, 2010 #
i play the egg shaker & the triangle. this looks kinda complicated but i’d like to give it a go
Comment by diego— April 15, 2010 #
@diego – the ukulele is just like playing the egg shaker, just heavier and can also be used as a weapon.

Please help this ukulele enthusiast who just happens to be a poor graduating senior in college. Can you say, “Best graduation present ever!” I promise to pass along this gift by playing beautiful music to anyone willing to listen. I’ve already gained recognition for spreading the word of the uke on my school’s campus, and now I’m ready to bring it to the real world!
Comment by Mark— April 15, 2010 #
Mmm, that would be pretty awesome.
Comment by Andrew— April 15, 2010 #
What a wonderful gesture! I’m throwing my virtual hat into the ring.
Thanks!
Comment by Wayno— April 15, 2010 #
That’s a really awesome gesture! I’m just now graduating with a degree in music composition at Georgia Southern University – at my senior recital I’m playing the ukulele on the stage of the performance hall – the first time that’s ever been done here. =D Time to spread some aloha in the south. I’m moving across the country to Sacramento at the end of May to work as the composer on an independent film project – I know if I got this thing I could use it in the score, not only that but eleuke and ukeeku.com would have exposure in the credits. Please consider me!
Comment by Eric Stetson— April 15, 2010 #
Such a beautiful instrument! I’ve been really looking into get an electric Uke since all my friends play plugged in! and I just have my acoustic Uke!
Been playing for about 9 months and keep discovering how versatile and convenient it is (as also a keyboardist, it’s so difficult to being pianos with) Been writing almost solely on the Uke these days (he’s called Dave) and enjoying the whole new musicality it affords me!
So… Please enter me in the Uke give away!!!
Thanks!

This is probably one of the sweetest instruments I have ever seen. I was looking into getting a Ukulele because I think they are so cute until I saw that they had Eleuke’s out which made me want one even more!! I am in college right now so money is a little hard to keep seeing as I have to pay my bills but me and my friends were thinking about starting a band and having a Eleuke would be one of the most amazing instruments to have!! I am in Pennsylvania where most of the music is metal and and emo but being able to start a band with an Eleuke would be a great change in the music scene here! I would love to win your contest! If i don’t no hard feelings, its just I think it would be great to own one of these!!! Thanks dude for the chance!!!

I am a newbie to ukulele and I just have fell in love with it. My wife thinks I’m nuts but she finds me playing it every day. I would love to expand my collection of 1 with this eleuke!
Comment by Lance Kilburn— April 23, 2010 #
Wow. I love the developing concepts of a uke, and this is no exception. I haven’t been playing for very long but the ukulele is one instrument I’ve really got into. Pffbt, one day I’ll have a whole collection. I feel pretty inspired whenever I hear a tune from my little Lanikai. Maybe if I’m lucky enough, I’ll get this strapping young uke.
But then again, luck always seems to surpass me, but with as simple as the requisites are for this contest, I might as well put in my two cents, right?
P.s.
Your review really made me want this. I’m usually pretty anal about what I want quality wise, and I’m quite sold with this one. Touche.
Comment by Desiree— April 23, 2010 #
Oh. And another thing.
Good luck.
There are soooo many replies to this.
Comment by Desiree— April 23, 2010 #
I’m not trying to create multiple replies..but I keep coming up with things you should know.
I play my uke until the wee hours of the morning..(it’s when I’m at my peak playing ability). And unfortunately have an angry, old, Asian woman who sleeps upstairs.. With the built in amp and headphone jack, I’d totally play my uke like a boss and jam all through those late night/early morning hours.
And going out to the guy who said it will go for playing at a specialized children’s hospital…low blow man. You can’t say no to that.
Thats all.
Comment by Desiree— April 23, 2010 #
Okay. Sign me up for the contest.

It’s fun in blue color, the one i tried was rosewood i think.
