Sound Samples
6I decided that I should have all the sound samples that are in the reviews in one place so people can hear them and compare them as easily as possible. Some of the sound samples are from ukulele I own and have not reviewed, they are there for comparison.
They are not in any order except how they are put in, so the newer the recording the lower on the page it will be. Please feel free to e-mail with questions and concerns.

Of the three Ukes that i heard, (Big Island, Lanikai and Anuenue) I love the Anuenue sounds. It is richer in tone!!!
Thanks for all this , I got some very good insight from you. Aloha from Wahiawa,on the island of Oahu. I liked the Bushman Jenny concert cutaway, Anuenue concert papa 2, Luna Honu soprano,Paulele KBUS, and Cordoba 10CM. I am new to playing the Ukulele but I went all out and own a Pono Baritone PBO Mahogany, Kau Wela Tenor with a beautiful Zebbawood gloss finish and a Applause UAE-24 limited addition Koa Plamtree soundhole electric ovation soprano. Love them all and the sounds are Awesome. I guess Tones mean everything as it will fit your style.
I cAnnot wait to hear the sound sample of the soid Koa that Brad Donaldson is making. $375? I will be the first to put my money down if it sounds great!
I just returned my Lanikai Baritone 21BE uke because the acoustic screws on the side of the uke was loose and I simply could not tighten them. I did like the sound of the baritone uke, but if Lanikair can’t get their screws to stay in place, it don’t say much for their quality control!..
So, I had to return a nice sounding baritone uke simply because they simply didn’t pay any attention to what was going on with the acoustic plate. Guess the production line there was really in a HURRY!……
I’ll be receiving my new KOLOA Baritone uke sometime this week. Its all solid mahogany, whatever that means. Hope it means that the tone is great!..
Anxious to see how good/bad I take to this instrument. I”ll be 80 years old this
year, and simply had to find another hobby to pursue, or I”ll go out of my mind!.
What bothers me quite a bit is that I”ve got small hands/fingers for an adult man, so I have that to worry about when I”m stretching for those WIDE chords!.
I’ll find out soon enough!…
Curious to hear from any other on this forum about the KOLOA baritone uke.
