HAPPY PLAY YOUR UKULELE DAY

I think is is appropriate that May 2 is the day that everyone who has a ukulele, less it be a $2 one to a $10,000 jewel of a ukulele, play it and spread the ukulele love. So as one uke player to all the rest, HAPPY PLAY YOUR UKULELE DAY!!!!
One question, why are so many people saying National Play Your Ukulele day? Shouldn’t it be International Play Your Ukulele Day?

I started playing at 12:01 this morning.
I got through most of “It’s Only a Paper Moon” before my boss told me to stop.
He doesn’t care what day it is.
I will continue after 5:00.

I just sent an email to the fellow who “declared” this as National Play Your Ukulele Day and asked for a revision to make it “Worldwide” instead! Maybe more people could send a request?

Drat! Missed it – sort of, like Nixon, every day is Play My Ukulele Day. Never mind International, let’s not be parochial, how about “cosmic!”
If astronomers reckon that there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe and that they are cleverer than us then they are probably born knowing how to play the the uke.

i missed acknowledgement of the day, but lucky i play some everyday, even if it’s just tuning up all my ukes. (not many, just 4) i need someone to push me into learning more!!!
